The Story

Corduroy, cut like a proper suit.

Corduroy has always belonged to people who work with their hands — farmers, professors, film directors, anyone who wanted warmth without stiffness. The Cordell takes that honest, tactile cloth and puts it into a clean notch-lapel two-piece.

Where most corduroy jackets lean rustic, the Cordell is drafted like tailoring: a structured shoulder, a lean-but-forgiving chest, and a length that reads sharp rather than slouchy. The result is a suit with the softness of a favorite jacket and the discipline of something you'd wear to be taken seriously.

It's the piece for the seasons in between — autumn dinners, winter weddings, gallery openings, and offices that reward a little character. Wear it as a full suit, or break the jacket over denim. It was designed to do both.

The Cloth

Cotton corduroy, and the wale that defines it.

Every corduroy is measured by its wale — the ridges of raised pile running the length of the cloth. The Cordell uses a medium wale: pronounced enough to catch the light and read unmistakably as corduroy, fine enough to keep the suit refined rather than costume.

Woven in soft, breathable cotton, the pile gives the suit its quiet depth of color and its warmth in the hand. It presses clean, moves with you, and only looks better as it settles into wear.

The Signature Inside

Lined in Di Palma Italia

An Italian paisley, hidden until the jacket opens.

Di Palma Italia paisley print fabric

The outside of the Cordell is disciplined and quiet. Open it, and there's the reward: a full lining in Di Palma Italia — an intricate Italian paisley of swirling boteh, fine linework, and soft botanical detail.

Rendered in tobacco, cream, deep bordeaux and a dusty sky-blue, the print is drawn to complement each colorway rather than shout over it. It's the detail only you know is there — and the one people notice when you move.

The same print returns as a coordinating pocket square, so the suit arrives styled as a complete idea, not a set of separates.

Up Close

The details worth the second look

Every close-up below is a placeholder ready for a high-resolution Artlist shot. The layout is set — drop your macros straight in.

Corduroy wale macro
Detail — The Pile

A wale that catches the light

Raised cotton ridges run the length of the cloth, giving the suit a shifting depth as you move — matte in the valleys, softly lustrous along the crest.

Suggested Artlist shot: extreme macro of the corduroy ridges, raking side light.

Peak lapel and gorge detail
Detail — The Lapel

A sharp peak lapel

The lapels sweep up into a clean peak — the more assertive, dressier cut. On soft corduroy it's an intentional contrast: the sharpest line on the suit set against the softest cloth, and the detail that gives the Cordell its confident, tailored posture.

Suggested Artlist shot: tight crop on the lapel peak and gorge line, raking light down the edge.

Functional cuff buttons
Detail — The Cuff

Four horn-tone working buttons

A stacked run of tonal, horn-look buttons finishes each sleeve — a tailoring cue that signals the jacket was built with intent, not shortcuts.

Suggested Artlist shot: angled cuff, buttons in sharp focus, ridges falling out of frame.

Coordinating pocket square
Detail — The Finish

A matching pocket square

The Di Palma paisley returns in the breast pocket, tying lining to lapel. Fold it sharp for evening or let it puff for something easier.

Suggested Artlist shot: pocket square peaking from the chest pocket, three-quarter angle.

In Motion

See it move — all three colorways
